Brighton

Often refered to as "London by the sea", Brighton is just 45 min away from London with over 40,000 gay population. Emanating bohemian atmosphere, open minded attitudes and fresh air, Brighton has long been known as Britain's number one gay resort.

Kemptown area is known as the gay village in Brighton with a thriving and diverse LGBT scene.

There are many events in Brighton including the Brighton Pride on the first week of August, the Brighton Arts Festival in May, the London to Brighton bike ride every June as a charity event for the British Heart Foundation and London to Brighton veteran car run in July.

Brighton becomes packed with tourist in the English summer months between June and August.

You should also consider Brighton for your wedding! You can have a wonderful ceremony and honeymoon in this seaside town.

If you want to experience a more non-traditional Brighton, you should go to the Flea Market full of antiques and unusual merchandise on weekends or holidays. Another spot for unique shopping with old records, jewellery and odd goodies is on Upper Garnder Street every Saturday.

For graffiti enthusiasts, take a walk along the North Laine with plenty of small cafes and stores covered in art, and when you get there, make sure to check out the Roly's Fudge Pantry. There's also a vintage makers boutique called Snoopers Attic worth visiting.

Eight minutes away is the Choccywoccydoodah if you'd rather have some chocolate. It's a wonderful bakery and chocolaterie that specializes in wedding, birthday and speciality cakes fused with fantastic art.

For entertainment, head to Komedia which holds cabarets, comedy nights and parties or the Brighton Dome with dance shows, plays and much more. If you enjoy live music shows, Brighton is a perfect place with events. Stay updated by checking this WEBSITE.

Mon - Thurs & Sun: noon - 11pm, Fri - Sat: noon - 1am. Our pub has a simple approach - to be the sort of pub we would love to go to ourselves. No loud music, no attitude, where everyone is welcome. Whether you live near by, work near by or have travelled from far afield you will be guaranteed a hearty 'hello' and welcomed to spend a few moments or the whole evening. Our only requirement of our guests is that they are nice and friendly. (Our licence requires one other thing, that you must be over 18 years of age). Why not enter a team into our weekly quiz every Thursday at 9 pm when large cash prizes are on offer.
